Thirty Days to Thirty by Courtney Psak

Synopsis

What if you were on the cusp of marrying the guy of your dreams and reaching that career goal you set for yourself, only for all of it to be taken away in one fell swoop? What if this all happened a month before you turned 30? This is the story of Jill Stevens, who after moving back home, finds a list she made in high school of thirty things she wanted to accomplish before her thirtieth birthday. With a month left and hardly anything crossed off her list, she teams up with old friends to accomplish as much as she can before the big 3-0. Along the way, she discovers her true self and realizes it’s not about the material successes in life but the journey.

My Thoughts
★★★ Stars
I received this book via NG in return for an honest review.
First off, I'm in love with this book cover. It's beautiful.
Now about the book. It was okay. It was actually a cute read. I though the storyline was pretty interesting because let's face it, we all have lists we want to do before we die but most of us never do it. Which is pretty sad.
I'm glad she found her lost and was able to do everything on it. I'm glad she had family and friends to support, a lot of us don't have that.

As for the writing itself, it flowed pretty nice but at some times it kinda fell off and didn't keep much of my attention, but plowing through that, it picked up again.

The one thing I couldn't stand was the NEED for alcohol at everything she did. Sorry, not sorry, she comes off sounding like a alcoholic. Honestly the more i think about it, the main character must be a bit boring for her to have to have so much to just "open up" to have fun.
I wish more people would realize you don't have to drink to have a good time.....

Anywho, I give this book 3 stars.
